Over four hundred years ago, William Shakespeare performed his plays at the Globe Theater in London. people came from all over to enjoy Shakespeare's plays and shout at the actors. The Globe Theater had twenty sides and no roof. Unfortunately, the theater was burned down in a fire in 1613. But recently, a new theater was built in London. It looks just like the old Globe Theater! That's not all. In Shakespeare's time there were no lights or microphones. And, as in Shakespeare's time, the crowed shouts at the actors during the play.
