 A - MID
MID 144 shows that the message comes from the vehicle control unit.
B - PID
PID 91 states the percentage accelerator pedal position.
(PID 98 states the engine oil level.)
(PID 100 states the engine oil pressure.)
C
In addition to MID and PID, the message also consists of a data component, which in this
example states how much the accelerator pedal has been depressed. The value can vary
between 000 for a completely released accelerator pedal and 255 for a completely pressed down
accelerator pedal.
D
Check 240 — Checksum is used to check whether the message is plausible.
Message 144–091–000–240 in this example, has the following meaning:
A = MID 144 Message comes from the vehicle control unit.
B = PID 091 Message states the percentage accelerator pedal position.
C = Data 000 Accelerator pedal is in the completely released position.
D = Check 240 Checksum for the message.
