During ancient times in India, wisdom seekers meditated at cemeteries
to understand the true meaning of life and death. When weather turned cold,
they collected pieces of the deceaseds' shrouds and sewed robes to keep themselves warm while meditating.
This practice of wearing robes has, over the centuries, become the Buddhist tradition known as Kasa.
While we may no longer practice at cemeteries, the path to eternal truth is still the same. Although we live in a new millennium with different cultures or religions,
we can see that this fundamental effort will continue with future generations throughout the world.
On Kasa Night, we celebrate this truth that all practitioners are seeking and help encourage one another in this path.
In this way, we may achieve world peace and perfect compassion in our hearts.
World Zen Fellowship, in association with the highly esteemed French Spirit,
wants to connect and exchange living truth with you on Kasa Night.
Please bring your own Kasa, which is -the strength of practicing the liberty
and equality of all beings true nature
