이 밥은
대지의 숨결과 강물의 핏줄,
태양의 자비와 바람의 손길로 빚은
모든 옛 부처님의 선물입니다
이 밥을 통해서 나는
모든 땅과 물은 나의 옛 몸이고
모든 불과 바람은 나의 본체임을 알겠습니다.
이 밥으로써 우주와 한 몸이 됩니다
그리하여 공양입니다.
온 몸 온 마음으로
온 생명을 섬기겠습니다.

Grace before Meal
This meal—
Prepared by the breath of the good earth,
The vein of rivers,
The mercy of the sun,
The touch of hands by winds—
Is a gift from our Beloved.
By this meal—
My body is all the earth and water,
The entirety of fire and wind is my reality—
I come to understand.
Through this meal—
I become one body with the Universe,
In this offering of grace.
With all my body and soul,
Will serve all living beings.
The resident (head) priest of Hwa Gye-Sa,
Soo-Kyung, with gathered hands in prayer.
