7세에 유다 왕이 된 요아스가 여호와의 전을 중수하려고 결심하고 성전세를 거두게 합니다. 모든 방백과 백성이 기쁘게 참여했고, 그 돈으로 성전 수리를 완수합니다. 남은 돈으로는 성전에서 사용하는 그릇과 물건들을 만듭니다.



☞ 성전 수리를 작정한 요아스

1 요아스가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 칠 세라 예루살렘에서 사십 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 시비아라 브엘세바 사람이더라 2 제사장 여호야다가 세상에 사는 모든 날에 요아스가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으며 3 여호야다가 왕으로 두 아내에게 장가들게 하였더니 자녀를 낳았더라

1 Joash was seven years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother's name was Zibiah; she was from Beersheba. 2 Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the years of Jehoiada the priest. 3 Jehoiada chose two wives for him, and he had sons and daughters.

4 그 후에 요아스가 여호와의 전을 중수할 뜻을 두고 5 제사장과 레위 사람을 모으고 저희에게 이르되 너희는 유다 여러 성읍에 가서 이스라엘 무리에게 해마다 너희 하나님의 전을 수리할 돈을 거두되 그 일을 빨리 하라 하였으나 레위 사람이 빨리 하지 아니한지라

4 Some time later Joash decided to restore the temple of the LORD. 5 He called together the priests and Levites and said to them, "Go to the towns of Judah and collect the money due annually from all Israel, to repair the temple of your God. Do it now." But the Levites did not act at once.

6 왕이 대제사장 여호야다를 불러 이르되 네가 어찌하여 레위 사람을 시켜서 여호와의 종 모세와 이스라엘의 회중이 법막을 위하여 정한 세를 유다와 예루살렘에서 거두게 하지 아니하였느냐 하니 7 이는 그 악한 여인 아달랴의 아들들이 하나님의 전을 깨뜨리고 또 여호와의 전의 모든 성물을 바알들에게 드렸음이었더라

6 Therefore the king summoned Jehoiada the chief priest and said to him, "Why haven't you required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalem the tax imposed by Moses the servant of the LORD and by the assembly of Israel for the Tent of the Testimony?" 7 Now the sons of that wicked woman Athaliah had broken into the temple of God and had used even its sacred objects for the Baals.



☞성전 수리를 실행한 요아스

8 이에 왕이 명하여 한 궤를 만들어 여호와의 전 문밖에 두게 하고 9 유다와 예루살렘에 반포하여 하나님의 종 모세가 광야에서 이스라엘에게 정한 세를 여호와께 드리라 하였더니 10 모든 방백과 백성들이 기뻐하여 마치기까지 돈을 가져다가 궤에 던진지라 11 언제든지 레위 사람들이 궤를 메고 왕의 유사에게 가서 돈이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기관과 대제사장에게 속한 아전이 와서 그 궤를 쏟고 다시 그 처소에 갖다 두었더라 때때로 이렇게 하여 돈을 많이 거두매

8 At the king's command, a chest was made and placed outside, at the gate of the temple of the LORD. 9 A proclamation was then issued in Judah and Jerusalem that they should bring to the LORD the tax that Moses the servant of God had required of Israel in the desert. 10 All the officials and all the people brought their contributions gladly, dropping them into the chest until it was full. 11 Whenever the chest was brought in by the Levites to the king's officials and they saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this regularly and collected a great amount of money.

12 왕과 여호야다가 그 돈을 여호와의 전 간역자에게 주어 석수와 목수를 고용하여 여호와의 전을 중수하며 또 철공장과 놋공장을 고용하여 여호와의 전을 수리하게 하였더니 13 공장들이 맡아서 수리하는 역사가 점점 진취되므로 하나님의 전을 이전 모양대로 견고케 하니라

12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to the men who carried out the work required for the temple of the LORD. They hired masons and carpenters to restore the LORD's temple, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the temple. 13 The men in charge of the work were diligent, and the repairs progressed under them. They rebuilt the temple of God according to its original design and reinforced it.

14 필역한 후에 그 남은 돈을 왕과 여호야다의 앞으로 가져온 고로 그것으로 여호와의 전에 쓸 그릇을 만들었으니 곧 섬겨 제사드리는 그릇이며 또 숟가락과 금, 은그릇들이라 여호야다가 세상에 사는 모든 날에 여호와의 전에 항상 번제를 드렸더라

14 When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money to the king and Jehoiada, and with it were made articles for the LORD's temple: articles for the service and for the burnt offerings, and also dishes and other objects of gold and silver. As long as Jehoiada lived, burnt offerings were presented continually in the temple of the LORD.

1 In the seventh year Jehoiada showed his strength. He made a covenant with the commanders of units of a hundred: Azariah son of Jeroham, Ishmael son of Jehohanan, Azariah son of Obed, Maaseiah son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat son of Zicri. 2 They went throughout Judah and gathered the Levites and the heads of Israelite families from all the towns. When they came to Jerusalem,

3 온 회중이 하나님의 전에서 왕과 언약을 세우매 여호야다가 무리에게 이르되 여호와께서 다윗의 자손에게 대하여 말씀하신 대로 왕자가 즉위하여야 할찌니

3 the whole assembly made a covenant with the king at the temple of God. Jehoiada said to them, "The king's son shall reign, as the LORD promised concerning the descendants of David.

4 이제 너희는 이와 같이 행하라 너희 제사장과 레위 사람 곧 안식일에 입번한 자의 삼분 일은 문을 지키고 5 삼분 일은 왕궁에 있고 삼분 일은 기초문에 있고 백성들은 여호와의 전 뜰에 있을찌라

4 Now this is what you are to do: A third of you priests and Levites who are going on duty on the Sabbath are to keep watch at the doors, 5 a third of you at the royal palace and a third at the Foundation Gate, and all the other men are to be in the courtyards of the temple of the LORD.

6 제사장과 수종드는 레위 사람은 거룩한즉 여호와의 전에 들어오려니와 그 외의 다른 사람은 들어오지 못할 것이니 모든 백성은 여호와의 명하신 바를 지킬찌며 7 레위 사람은 각각 손에 병기를 잡고 왕을 호위하며 다른 사람이 전에 들어오거든 죽이고 왕의 출입할 때에 시위할찌니라

6 No one is to enter the temple of the LORD except the priests and Levites on duty; they may enter because they are consecrated, but all the other men are to guard what the LORD has assigned to them. 7 The Levites are to station themselves around the king, each man with his weapons in his hand. Anyone who enters the temple must be put to death. Stay close to the king wherever he goes."

8 레위 사람과 유다 무리가 제사장 여호야다의 모든 명한 바를 준행하여 각기 수하의 안식일에 입번할 자와 안식일에 출번할 자를 거느리고 있으니 이는 제사장 여호야다가 출번하는 자를 보내지 아니함이더라

8 The Levites and all the men of Judah did just as Jehoiada the priest ordered. Each one took his men--those who were going on duty on the Sabbath and those who were going off duty--for Jehoiada the priest had not released any of the divisions.

9 제사장 여호야다가 하나님의 전 안에 있는 다윗 왕의 창과 큰 방패와 작은 방패를 백부장들에게 주고 10 또 백성들로 각각 손에 병기를 잡고 왕을 호위하되 전 우편에서부터 전 좌편까지 단과 전 곁에 서게 하고

9 Then he gave the commanders of units of a hundred the spears and the large and small shields that had belonged to King David and that were in the temple of God. 10 He stationed all the men, each with his weapon in his hand, around the king--near the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.

11 무리가 왕자를 인도하여 내어 면류관을 씌우며 율법책을 주고 세워 왕을 삼을쌔 여호야다와 그 아들들이 저에게 기름을 붓고 모두 왕의 만세를 부르니라

11 Jehoiada and his sons brought out the king's son and put the crown on him; they presented him with a copy of the covenant and proclaimed him king. They anointed him and shouted, "Long live the king!"

12 아달랴가 백성들이 분주하며 왕을 찬송하는 소리를 듣고 여호와의 전에 들어가서 백성에게 이르러 13 보매 왕이 전 문 기둥 곁에 섰고 장관들과 나팔수가 왕의 곁에 모셨으며 국민들이 즐거워하여 나팔을 불며 노래하는 자는 주악하며 찬송을 인도하는지라 이에 아달랴가 옷을 찢으며 외치되 반역이로다 반역이로다 하매

12 When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and cheering the king, she went to them at the temple of the LORD. 13 She looked, and there was the king, standing by his pillar at the entrance. The officers and the trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets, and singers with musical instruments were leading the praises. Then Athaliah tore her robes and shouted, "Treason! Treason!"

14 제사장 여호야다가 군대를 거느린 백부장들을 불러내어 명하여 가로되 반렬 밖으로 몰아내라 무릇 저를 따르는 자는 칼로 죽이라 하니 제사장의 이 말은 여호와의 전에서는 저를 죽이지 말라 함이라 15 이에 무리가 길을 열어 주고 저가 왕궁 마문 어귀에 이를 때에 거기서 죽였더라

14 Jehoiada the priest sent out the commanders of units of a hundred, who were in charge of the troops, and said to them: "Bring her out between the ranks and put to the sword anyone who follows her." For the priest had said, "Do not put her to death at the temple of the LORD." 15 So they seized her as she reached the entrance of the Horse Gate on the palace grounds, and there they put her to death.



☞ 여호야다의 개혁

16 여호야다가 자기와 뭇 백성과 왕의 사이에 언약을 세워 여호와의 백성이 되리라 한지라 17 온 국민이 바알의 당으로 가서 그 당을 훼파하고 그 단들과 우상들을 깨뜨리고 그 단 앞에서 바알의 제사장 맛단을 죽이니라

16 Jehoiada then made a covenant that he and the people and the king would be the LORD's people. 17 All the people went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols and killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars.

18 여호야다가 여호와의 전의 직원을 세워 제사장 레위 사람의 수하에 맡기니 이들은 다윗이 전에 그 반차를 나누어서 여호와의 전에서 모세의 율법에 기록한 대로 여호와께 번제를 드리며 자기의 정한 규례대로 즐거이 부르고 노래하게 하였던 자더라

18 Then Jehoiada placed the oversight of the temple of the LORD in the hands of the priests, who were Levites, to whom David had made assignments in the temple, to present the burnt offerings of the LORD as written in the Law of Moses, with rejoicing and singing, as David had ordered.

19 또 문지기를 여호와의 전 여러 문에 두어 무릇 아무 일에든지 부정한 자는 들어오지 못하게 하고 20 백부장들과 존귀한 자들과 백성의 방백들과 온 국민을 거느리고 왕을 인도하여 여호와의 전에서 내려와서 윗문으로 좇아 왕궁에 이르러 왕을 나라 보좌에 앉히매 21 온 국민이 즐거워하고 성중이 평온하더라 아달랴를 무리가 칼로 죽였었더라

19 He also stationed doorkeepers at the gates of the LORD's temple so that no one who was in any way unclean might enter. 20 He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the nobles, the rulers of the people and all the people of the land and brought the king down from the temple of the LORD. They went into the palace through the Upper Gate and seated the king on the royal throne, 21 and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been slain with the sword.

[서울신문]지난달 28일 신종플루 백신을 접종받은 10대가 뇌출혈 증상을 보이다 숨진데 이어 또다른 초등학생도 백신 접종 후 뇌출혈 등의 증상을 보이다 사망했던 것으로 확인됐다. 병원측은 이 학생의 병명을 '모야모야병'으로 보고한 것으로 알려졌다.

하지만 앞서 숨진 학생과 증상이 비슷한 데다 가족들도 사인을 납득할 수 없다는 입장이어서 신종플루 백신 부작용에 대한 논란은 더욱 거세질 전망이다.

1일 최근 사망한 A양의 가족들에 따르면 수도권의 모 초등학교에 다니던 A양은 지난달 18일 학교에서 신종플루 백신 접종을 받았다.

평소 건강하던 A양은 3일 뒤인 21일 두통을 호소하다가 자신의 방에서 갑자기 경련을 일으켰다. 부모는 A양을 인근 대학병원 응급실로 이송했지만 좀처럼 깨어나지 못했다. 병원측은 A양의 증상에 대해 가족들에게 뇌출혈이라고 알렸으며, 뇌압이 낮아져야 수술이 가능하다는 소견을 밝힌 뒤 중환자실에 입원시켰다. 하지만 결국 뇌압은 낮아지지 않았고, 입원 3일만인 24일 A양은 끝내 숨지고 말았다.

가족들은 "증상이 나타나기 전 신종플루 백신을 접종했다는 사실을 병원측에 알렸지만 의료진은 10살 이전 아이들에게 발병 빈도가 높은 '모야모야병'이 사망 원인이라고 결론지었다."며 "백신 부작용일 수 있다는 의심은 해보지도 못하고 화장했다."며 울먹였다.

가족들은 평소 건강하던 A양이 갑작스럽게 '모야모야병'으로 사망했다는 병원측의 설명을 납득하지 못하고 있다. 가족들은 "병원측에서도 사망 원인에 대해 정확한 답변을 하지 못했다."며 "백신 접종 후 뇌출혈로 사망한 학생에 대한 기사를 보고 비슷한 사례라는 생각이 들었다."고 밝혔다. 복지부 관계자는 "('모야모야병'으로) 사망한 사례가 보고됐으나 백신으로 인한 사망 보고는 아니었다."고만 밝혔을 뿐 사인 규명의 적정성에 대해서는 언급하지 않았다.

앞서 지난달말 10대가 백신 접종 후 4일만에 뇌출혈로 사망한 사고에 대해 복지부 인플루엔자대책본부는 '구체적 인과관계가 없다.'며 백신 관련성을 부인했다. 이에 대해 의료계에서는 "대책본부가 뇌동맥류 등 불확실한 기저질환을 원인으로 추정한 것은 성급한 일"이라며 "성장기 청소년에게는 매우 드문 뇌동맥류 등 기저질환이 문제였다면 부검을 통해 정확한 사인을 밝혔어야 했다."는 견해를 밝혔다.

1 예루살렘 거민이 여호람의 말째 아들 아하시야로 위를 이어 왕을 삼았으니 이는 전에 아라비아 사람과 함께 와서 영을 치던 부대가 그의 모든 형을 죽였음이라 그러므로 유다 왕 여호람의 아들 아하시야가 왕이 되었더라 2 아하시야가 왕이 될 때에 나이 사십이 세라 예루살렘에서 일 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 아달랴라 오므리의 손녀더라 3 아하시야도 아합의 집 길로 행하였으니 이는 그 모친이 꾀어 악을 행하게 하였음이라 4 그 부친이 죽은 후에 저가 패망케 하는 아합의 집 교도를 좇아 여호와 보시기에 아합의 집같이 악을 행하였더라

1 The people of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, Jehoram's youngest son, king in his place, since the raiders, who came with the Arabs into the camp, had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah began to reign. 2 Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother's name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri. 3 He too walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother encouraged him in doing wrong. 4 He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, as the house of Ahab had done, for after his father's death they became his advisers, to his undoing.

5 아하시야가 아합의 집 교도를 좇고 이스라엘 왕 아합의 아들 요람과 함께 길르앗 라못으로 가서 아람 왕 하사엘로 더불어 싸우더니 아람 사람들이 요람을 상하게 한지라 6 요람이 아람 왕 하사엘과 싸울 때에 라마에서 맞아 상한 것을 치료하려 하여 이스르엘로 돌아왔더라 아합의 아들 요람이 병이 있으므로 유다 왕 여호람의 아들 아사랴가 이스르엘에 내려가서 방문하였더라

5 He also followed their counsel when he went with Joram son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram; 6 so he returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds they had inflicted on him at Ramoth in his battle with Hazael king of Aram. Then Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to Jezreel to see Joram son of Ahab because he had been wounded.

7 아하시야가 요람에게 가므로 해를 받았으니 이는 하나님께로 말미암은 것이라 아하시야가 갔다가 요람과 함께 나가서 임시의 아들 예후를 맞았으니 그는 여호와께서 기름을 부으시고 아합의 집을 멸하게 하신 자더라 8 예후가 아합의 집을 징벌할 때에 유다 방백들과 아하시야의 형제의 아들들 곧 아하시야를 섬기는 자들을 만나서 죽였고 9 아하시야는 사마리아에 숨었더니 예후가 찾으매 무리가 예후에게로 잡아다가 죽이고 이르기를 저는 전심으로 여호와를 구하던 여호사밧의 아들이라 하고 장사하였더라 이에 아하시야의 집이 약하여 왕위를 지키지 못하게 되니라

7 Through Ahaziah's visit to Joram, God brought about Ahaziah's downfall. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab. 8 While Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's relatives, who had been attending Ahaziah, and he killed them. 9 He then went in search of Ahaziah, and his men captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. He was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him, for they said, "He was a son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart." So there was no one in the house of Ahaziah powerful enough to retain the kingdom.



☞ 학살 가운데 살아남은 요아스

10 아하시야의 모친 아달랴가 그 아들의 죽은 것을 보고 일어나 유다 집의 왕의 씨를 진멸하였으나 11 왕의 딸 여호사브앗이 아하시야의 아들 요아스를 왕자들의 죽임을 당하는 중에서 도적하여 내고 저와 그 유모를 침실에 숨겨 아달랴를 피하게 한 고로 아달랴가 저를 죽이지 못하였더라 여호사브앗은 여호람 왕의 딸이요 아하시야의 누이요 제사장 여호야다의 아내더라 12 요아스가 저희와 함께 하나님의 전에 육 년을 숨어 있는 동안에 아달랴가 나라를 다스렸더라

10 When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family of the house of Judah. 11 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada, was Ahaziah's sister, she hid the child from Athaliah so she could not kill him. 12 He remained hidden with them at the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.

You have also murdered your own brothers, members of your father's house, men who were better than you. 14 여호와가 네 백성과 네 자녀와 네 아내들과 네 모든 재물을 큰 재앙으로 치리라 14 So now the LORD is about to strike your people, your sons, your wives and everything that is yours, with a heavy blow. 15 또 너는 창자에 중병이 들고 그 병이 날로 중하여 창자가 빠져나오리라 하셨다 하였더라 15 You yourself will be very ill with a lingering disease of the bowels, until the disease causes your bowels to come out.' " ☞ 여호람의 몰락 16 여호와께서 블레셋 사람과 구스에서 가까운 아라비아 사람의 마음을 격동시키사 여호람을 치게 하셨으므로 16 The LORD aroused against Jehoram the hostility of the Philistines and of the Arabs who lived near the Cushites. 17 그 무리가 올라와서 유다를 침노하여 왕궁의 모든 재물과 그 아들들과 아내들을 탈취하였으므로 말째 아들 여호아하스 외에는 한 아들도 남지 아니하였더라 17 They attacked Judah, invaded it and carried off all the goods found in the king's palace, together with his sons and wives. Not a son was left to him except Ahaziah, the youngest. 18 이 모든 일 후에 여호와께서 여호람을 치사 능히 고치지 못할 병이 그 창자에 들게 하셨으므로 18 After all this, the LORD afflicted Jehoram with an incurable disease of the bowels. 19 여러 날 후 이 년 만에 그 창자가 그 병으로 인하여 빠져나오매 저가 그 심한 병으로 죽으니 백성이 그 열조에게 분향하던 것같이 저에게 분향하지 아니하였으며 19 In the course of time, at the end of the second year, his bowels came out because of the disease, and he died in great pain. His people made no fire in his honor, as they had for his fathers. 20 여호람이 삼십이 세에 즉위하고 예루살렘에서 팔 년을 치리하다가 아끼는 자 없이 세상을 떠났으며 무리가 저를 다윗 성에 장사하였으나 열왕의 묘실에는 두지 아니하였더라 20 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. He passed away, to no one's regret, and was buried in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings. 아끼는 자 없이(20절) ‘슬퍼하는 자 없이’라는 뜻으로 아내와 자식을 잃고 백성들로부터 배척을 당해 여호람의 죽음에 대해 울어 줄 자가 없다는 뜻
