Once while up in Cholwon I saw a small shop with North Korean liquor for sale. The ROK soldiers up on the DMZ have a small black market going on this stuff. I bought two different brands of North Korean soju and that was some strong stuff. I guess if you live in North Korea you need some strong soju everyday.

GI Korea,
So how much did the "goods" set you back? Speaking of strong stuff, the Chinese liquors offered in Korea are pretty harsh too....My personal favorite in Korea was the "Insamju" (Ginsing Liquor) that my father-in-law made at home. Smooth and tasty.
