Be be your love, I want you, 1963 등의 노래로 잘 알려진 일본계 미국인 4세, 레이첼 야마가타의 신곡이다.
다소의 우화적인 표현들이 섞인 가사가 문맥상 난해한 점도 있지만
대체로 사랑과 사랑을 향한 우리의 자세에 대한, 어쩌면 레이첼 본인 자신의 이야기일 지도 모르는
그 사랑의 상처에 대해 노래하고 있는 것만은 분명하다.

늘 강조하지만 번역은 어디까지나 서툰 추종자의 습작임을 감안하고 읽어주시길.
