There are a lot of Irish in the United States because many Irish immigrated to USA at the middle of 1800s. Most of them were starved at their homeland. It is because of The Great Hunger.
Irish ate potato at that time. They couldn’t eat other crops easily, because Britain took a lot of crops such as corns and wheat. Potatoes were the most common crops. At result, Irish ate potatoes. (The 1/3 of crops that Ireland produced was potatoes.)
The problem happened at the year of 1847. Disease for potatoes rapidly spread to whole area of Ireland. The disease took potatoes out from Irish. However, the plundering of Britain was not decrease. At result, there was no food for Irish. No potato meant “no food” to Irish. (Math time. whole crop=3, crop for Britain=2, potato=1. 3-2-1=0. simple.)
The result was horrible. 2 million people, the ¼ of Irish were die of hunger and 2 million people left Ireland; the half of population died or immigrate to other countries. The event is the 19 century’s most terrible disaster.
This I believe that people can’t judge others because each people have both of good and bad things. It has no standard and it can’t have standard. There are 6 billion small worlds in the world. That means many people live in the world and each of them has different lives.
Artifacts can be judged because it has certain standard. For example, computer’s value is decided by its CPU, RAM, HDD, monitor, key board, mouse and etc. however, human being is living thing, not artifact. Living things are able to be changed by environment; there are lots of different human on the Earth.
For the reason, people supposed not to be judged. The potatoes are good crop. It is easy to grow, harvested a lot, and tasted good. But, it is not funny to be onl y potato. Rice is good too and wheat is good either. The tolerance of difference is the best way to be happy life because difference makes society funny.

Do you know about the movie “Wizard of Oz”? The story is that a girl Dorothy travel Oz to return to her hometown with Toto (Dorothy’s dog), Scarecrow (brainless), Tin Man (heartless) and Lion (having no courage). It is very funny story because they are too weak to travel. But they finish their travel and get what they want. I wondered how they can be. Finally, I got an answer of it.
In story Dorothy has a lot of trouble. She live in Kansas, but good (?) tornado carry her to Oz, her house smashed bad witch, so she get another bad witch’s angriness. But she doesn’t give up returning to Kansas. She walks way to go to the Wizard of Oz although she got a lot of accident. This mind brings her to Kansas.
Like Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion want to get what they want. So they help Dorothy to go to the Emerald Castle. They have many time to be almost die, they don’t give up like Dorothy. So they can get brain, heart, and courage although that is fake one (what ever. They get what they want).
In the story, one of character who don’t know abandon, that is the bad witch. She wants to have Dorothy’s magic shoes and harass the group of Dorothy. Finally she almost gets them, but she is melted by Dorothy’s water. The witch tells that bad wish can’t be success.
“If you want, you can have. But bad wanting is make you to be bad way.” It is the message of the Wizard of Oz that I found. Dorothy’s wish and the witch’s wish are different. Dorothy want to be Kansas (it doesn’t harm anything), but witch want magic shoes (she may harm other with the magic shoes). Well, I don’t know clearly. It is just a fairy tale movie and the real world is more contradictive and illogical.

People are living in a society except lonely man on an unknown island because it is easier to survi
ve than living alone. But that have a problem. It is that more than two people are in a same area, they must have trouble between a person and a person because each of the people wants more benefit for him or her, but for that, some one must be sacrificed. But nobody wants to be sacrificed.
For that reason, people promise about what they should not do such as don’t kill a person, which is rule. But they don’t feel enough and study for them and make written, organized, agreeable rule, which is called law.
Almost modern laws are promising the people freedom in the frame of laws. It is like a dog that is captured for a lope. It may be seemed the opposite of freedom, but the dog can do anything in its place that owner allow. If you enter the area of the dog, you can’t complain although you are bitten by the dog.
In other word, rules divide people individually for each of their freedom and right. A person can do anything if he or she doesn’t invade other’s place. The rule’s role is to define the individual’s area. It is very personal thing.
Rules don’t give any freedom but it doesn’t take any freedom too. It just allows freedom. The laws don’t have give or take a freedom, because human is originally free existance.
