The Be$t Bet (突然发财), is the latest offering from the same director, Jack Neo, whose earlier movie, I Not Stupid (小孩不笨), was screened at the 2002 Busan Film Festival. My translation of the Chinese title is “Get Rich Suddenly”.

If I’m not wrong, lottery is referred to as 六彩 in Chinese, which contains the word for six. Here in Singapore, we say “buy 4D” to mean buying lottery tickets, which makes sense because bets are placed on all (factorial of 4 gives 24 possible combinations) or several combinations of your favourite set of four digits. I wonder if each set comprises six digits in other countries. 720 possible combinations would surely cost hell of a lot of money !
