In case when you lower the intonation of the end of the sentence with a period, it can be a just declarative sentence, e.g.
한국 백화점에서 파는(판=> past tense) 물건들의 값은 너무 비싸지요. (비싸죠=비쌉니다.)
지요 can be shorten to 죠 used in both ways.
