I'm guessing from Q29 that in Korean, there is NO expression such as "was sitting". 앚아 있는 in English would be (the person who) sits.

Yes, ET, you are not a Korean teacher. Is it true that Korean children are not taught grammar ? So you don't have to teach your children grammar ?
How come the +는데 rule had no application for Q43 ?

MShyun, 매우 고마워요.
According to Naver, ~는지 seems to suggest 'whether', so I guess 있는지 means whether there is or isn't (a post office). 맞지요?

When you teach a baby the mother tongue, you don't teach grammar and this is true in English and Korean, and other languages. And even we Koreans can't explain the way how our language is used, I think it will be the same case with English. When we ask native speakers about grammar, the answers would be unacceptable.

The best way to learn a language is perhaps to jump into the sea of the target language.

Yup, a Korean immersion would be good but ....
the unemployment rate in Korea is higher than for Singapore, so I don't think I can find a job there. Also, I'm not sure who would want to hire me ! ㅠ ㅜ
