Q9. 어제는 영수 씨의 생일이었어요. 그래서 선물을 했어요. Supposed to choose from 4 answers the one that is similar to the underlined text. Answer is "줬어요" but i chose "받았어요". How do I know whose perspective I'm supposed to take ?

Q9 says " Yesterday was Young-su's birthday, so I gave him a present. 선물을 했어요. (하다's past form) = 선물하다.=선물을 주었다.
Q56 오늘은 친구를 만나기로 했습니다. will be better. Today I have an appointment to meet my friend. = I already made a plan the other day which is to meet a friend today. So 만나기로 합니다. should be changed into a past form.
