On 'Samgyup-sal Day,' which falls on March 3, the Direct Spot Transaction market in Gwacheon offered samgyup-sal, pork meat similar to bacon, at a very low price. The Korean word "sam" also means the number "three," so Samgyup-sal Day was instituted on March 3rd, or 3/3, in order to increase the consumption of samgyup-sal.
