"Suhyeh"(Calligraphy) 

"Suhyeh" refers to artistry df writing  letters  on paper( "Hanji ), using brush and "muk" (ink).
Before the improvement on printing technologies or writing tool s, keeping records, writing letters, or painting pictures all used bruhes as common tool.
It was usually the royal families in the palaces who kept historical records.
Sometime, famous phrases and moral teachings were written in "byungpoong"
or in frames and placed as interior decorations. Today, "Suhyeh" presentsa sinnificant position in oriental artistic culture. Especially "Hangul uhyeh" ( Korean
Calligraphy )has gone remakeble developments.
Today, "Suhyeh" is widely adopted as a popular hobby, where writing "Suhyeh" calms person's psychological state and brings out one's creativity and houghts
into an artistry.


"Jungak" (Seal engraving)

"Jungak" refers to artstic works of carving letters or drawings on stones. Before invention of letters, human race has been communicating by drawing symbols and pictures on the stone walls or small stones. With improvement on letters and the invention of papers, communications and keeping records were made easier. However, people still required ways to present social status and ownship of properties. Therefore, bamboo, caly, metal, stones were used to carve in names and social status. This is called seal. Since it was most convenient to carve on, stones were widely used.
Today not only seals, but beautiful letters and pictures are carved on stones. This artstry is known as "Jungak"
