결실의 계절에 여러분의 일상에도 많은 열매가 있기를 기원 드립니다.
인간의 역사는 도구의 역사이기도 합니다. 각종 매체의 발달은 인간 생활 깊숙이 영향을 미칩니다. 오늘날 미디어의 발달은 문화예술 창작에도 근본적인 변화를 주고 있습니다. 우리는 오늘날 영상의 시대에 살고 있습니다. 여기 최신의 미디어 기술들을 사용한 몇몇 창작품을 선보입니다. 오늘 연주회의 중점은 실시간 음악과 실시간 영상 컨트롤의 통합에 두고 있습니다. 영상을 실시간으로 컨트롤할 수 있다는 것은 중요한 발전입니다. 이것은 오늘날 하드웨어와 프로그래밍의 발달로 가능해진 우리 시대의 산물입니다. 물론 신기술을 사용한다고 다 좋은 음악이 된다고는 생각지 않습니다. 그러나 신기술을 사용하는 음악이 필요하다는 것은 모두가 공감하는 바일 것입니다. 이에 작곡자는 신기술에 예술성을 부여하려고 노력 하였습니다. 부디 참석 하시어 창작에서의 미디어 활용 가능성을 예견해 보시기 바랍니다. 오늘 연주의 또 다른 한 초점은 국악기와 양악기 그리고 미디어의 융화입니다. 이점은 작곡자가 최근에 관심을 두는 분야이니 또한 염두에 두시고 살펴봐 주시기 바랍니다.

It's a plentiful season of fruits, again.
I would say the history of human being is the history of tools. The developments of every kind of tools are influenced human life greatly in every field. Today's media development is changing the way of creative works fundamentally, even in the field of art and culture. Now, in music composition, a computer can be used as a versatile real instrument, not just a supporting device, which has a great potential. Tonight, I would like to present some new works using advanced media and technology. Tonight's concert is focused on the control of the realtime video processing along with the realtime music processing using MAX/MSP and JITTER.
Another focus tonight is the combination between the oriental instruments and the western instruments with today's computing technology.
Please come and enjoy the new music. I would also appreciate if you let me know your precious opinion upon the concert.
