Chanting a prayer

what do the evenings

and morns tell you of what

lies beyond the visible?

are your senses alive, my friend?

Is the temple still lighted

by a divine silence and

how does the Buddha move beyond the stone?

are the children laughing and learning?

do the text books offer encouragement and a new moment to

remember for teacher and student?

listening to

Leonard Cohen this morning, a deep sigh of recognition

and gratitude came over me when the song

"Suzanne" ends with the line,

"she touched your perfect body

with her mind."
